I stumbled upon these images on Tumblr, originally posted by Glee's Dianna Agron (Quinn).  I then had to find more and more details about these amazing geometric lines.  Created by artists Lang/Baumann in 2010, their brief was to bring art to  the Swiss Ski Town of Vercorin to create a work that incorporated the whole village.  And that they did.

Shoe Love

I just received an email from ASOS saying 'blah blah blah SALE!!!!!!!' which is my favourite kind of email.  This time it's on shoes if you enter the code LOVEFOOTWEAR at checkout you get 20% off.  I cant get it to work though, so I guess due to the time difference it starts tomorrow. (Update, its now working!!) Either way, I have found some lovely shoes that will have to make do since those studded Topshop loafers sold out in five seconds..

La Belle Miette

On a girls night out last night I was super excited to finally visit the famous 'La Belle Miette' macaron store in Hardware Lane, Melbourne.

Here is my selection, I can't remember exactly what I bought, but I think they were from left: mango & coconut, chocolate, raspberry, pistachio, strawberry & vanilla and rose (a little squished!)

The macarons are around $2.50 each and gift boxes are available for $3, and they are worth every cent.  Each macaron is perfectly shaped and delicate with that lovely crunch on the outside and gooeyness in the middle.

If you are in Melbourne I suggest you visit La Belle Miette (meaning 'the beautiful small thing') at either 30 Hardware Lane, City and their other store at 432 Church St, Richmond.

Summer Nails

I am a huge fan of nail polish, and very rarely have bare toe and finger nails.  Through winter I was getting Shellac done quite regularly, my favourite colour being CND "wildfire", a classic red which goes with all winter outfits.

Now that it is summer, I have been using just the good old OPI colours so I can change them up regularly (that is the one negative of Shellac!).  My 'go to' colours have been:

From left : 'Ate berries in the canaries', 'thrill of Brazil' and 'Cancun fiesta'.

I have very fair skin and find that they all work really well, but I am always on the hunt for new colours, in particular I am looking for the perfect 'orangey red', inspired by these gorgeous images:
