Fun Run

I just signed up for the annual Run for the Kids fun run on the 1st of April!  Last year I couldn't run in it due to injury, and it is one of my favourite fun runs.  It also raises money for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal, so it's a great cause as well as a reason to get in better running shape!  I have elected to go in the 14.38km course which means some serious training will be happening over the new couple of months!

And with serious training comes the need to get some cute new shoes.  We have a little unofficial competition at my work for loud and colourful shoes and this is certainly reflected in my choices below!

1. Nike Lunar Racer Plus
2. Asics Gel Blur
3. Adidas adiZero F50
4. Saucony ProGrid
(my current favourites for general gym work/classes)
5. Nike Free
6. Saucony ProGrid Kinvara
All available here

**international shipping tip**
There are shipping restrictions to Australia on some footwear purchased from the US as the items are significantly cheaper from US retailers.  I use hopshopgo.com to freight my shoes, its reliable, easy to use and still saves you a lot of money :)

  1. Your blog is awesome! I really like reading it, the texts you write are great and I love the pictures in your posts.
Yay, I'm sure you be very good at the Fun Run! As for the shoes: I like the first one best. But they have to fit, that's always the most important (and the reason why mine are plain white...).
    Have a nice day!!

  2. How fun!! I've been doing a 12km one every year in Adelaide. It's really great fun! But make sure your train!! Good shoes are definitely the key!! My hips and knees always start killing over 10km... Good luck!!
